Less than 2 years ago, a small group of women got together and decided to have a go at cricket. Most had never played before, some weren't sure they could ever play again, all were nervous about trying. They had a go. Friendships formed and plans came together. One rather amazing woman completed a coaching course, organised equipment, booked training sessions, and brought a team together. They played, and lost, and played and lost again, and again. And laughed a lot.

How very appropriate that today, on International Women's Day, the team WON. They are Kent Women's Softball Festival Champions! Many congratulations to a great group of women, and particularly to their inspirational coach, Jamie Du Bois.
