4. Hythe Petanque Club

Petanque is played with hollow steel balls known as boules, and a small wooden target ball or jack. The game is usually played on a gravel-topped terrain at least 12m long, and games can be played as:
Singles: Two individual players, each with 3 boules;
or Doubles: Two teams of two players, with 3 boules per player;
or Triples: Two teams of three players, with 2 boules per player

Hythe Petanque Club are a friendly group who meet regularly at Hythe Cricket & Squash Club. Their volunteers have built and maintain a terrain at the Club, and they welcome anyone to join in and try out a game.

Say hello if you see players at the Club, or drop a line to info@hythecsc.com and we'll put you in touch.
